EIR Tutorial 1 and 2~

Activity 1 was to get involved in the group discussion on the facebook groups and i had done so (:

Activity 2: Individual Blog Activity

I feel that my opinion is not wrong when i am posting in the facebook group discussion forum and that different people share different views as well as some people share the same views too but in a different prespective depending on the way they think and feel personally. In addition, when i post my own views, i am able to express my views freely. Whatever it is i wish to say with what i think or feel i could simply just post it in.

To compare an online discussion experience with a traditional face-to-face in-class discussions, one point would be;
in an online discussion individuals might not be afraid or uneasy to hold back their opinions and views as no one might know who he/she is that had posted the post. However, with a face-to-face in-class discussion some individuals who are more quieter might not participate in the discussions as they might feel uncomfortable giving their own views thinking that it would be wrong and they would be criticized by other individuals. Hence, from this we can tell that comparing an online discussion with face-to-face in-class disussion, individuals will be much more open and loud with their thoughts and more variety or views could be seen as compared to face-to-face in-class discussion.

I find this online activity meaningful because as said earlier on, almost all individuals will participate and post their own personal views and opinion hence, there would be a much wider scope of answers/thoughts to share with one another. As compared to traditional face-to-face in-class discussions, not all individuals might participate and only limited views could be gathered. Therefore to conclude, i feel this activity is meaningful to get all individuals to participate and voice out their own views. (:
